New York Magazine reported a few days ago that Sarah M. Fain and Elizabeth Craft (who have both worked on Joss Whedon’s Angel and Dollhouse, and also on the Vampire Diaries) will be developing L.J. Smith’s Secret Circle for the CW.
At the moment a pilot script has been ordered. It remains to be seen if it will be filmed, let alone get the green light for a whole TV series. I’ll keep you updated as and when more news is available.

I’m happy about all this publicity. I really liked the Secret Circle books. I guess Cassie would be a much easier character to translate to TV than Elena was from VD. Anyway. Glad the author is getting acknowledged for her wonderful work. :)

I LOVE Nick in secret circle. They HAVE to get him right if they do it…I would really love to see Dark Visions on TV as well…
Does anyone think L.J Smith will ever do more sequels for Dark Visions or Secret Circle?? They both left me hanging…:(

I loved the secret circle trilogy!! It was awesome. I really hope they come up with a great story and adapt the characters according to the book. I find it hard to believe tho that they could sustain the show for longer than three season.

Would love to see this (though I agree that it would probably only last about 3 or 4 seasons total – unless they moved slightly away from the original story). Would also love to see Dark Visions and the Forbidden Game come to tv or even the big screen (though I think that Dark Visions would work better for tv and Forbidden Game as a movie series). Any thoughts or rumors about those?
